Island of Sint Eustatius

Is the island really that pristine still? They’re the largest oil storage and transshipment port in the Caribbean I believe. I really don’t want to swim with the tar balls if possible, I know how these oil ships like to wet-their-pants while loading up.

The island has some wear and tear but a great place to dive. Not certain about nightlife ect.
